That is powerful. You know, I learned someth...Wow! That is powerful. You know, I learned something once. I had a mission comp that got to me and criticized me till I didn't believe in myself. I was partly to blame for letting it get to me but it is almost impossible not to when you are a unit 24/7. So, as I tried to recover my self esteem, I learned that in order to forgive her, I had to turn to Heavenly Father to heal and recover the healthy old self, but in the end a stronger and better self. Why? Because there was no way she could ever replace that for me. The make it right step she was totally dependent on me for. Out of a desire to be whole and love her again, I made that choice. It took time but it worked. I'm sorry he made you feel that way and really hope you can come to trust good men again. I'm sure if you want to, in time you will get there.
